Though advertised as open, the castle was in fact closed because of the risk that the owners, Historic Scotkand, might be sued if anyone was admitted and slipped on the snow-covered floors inside. This seems to be Health and Safety gone daft - surely it is reasonable to expect snow-covered floors to be slippery, and to expect people to take care of themselves?
