SH4789 : Eglwys Llanwenllwyfo Church
near to Dulas, Isle of Anglesey/Sir Ynys Mon, Great Britain

Eglwys Llanwenllwyfo Church
This church was built through the generosity of Gertrude, Lady Dinorben, of Llysdulas to replace the simple medieval church of the same name SH4890. The fine stained glass windows came from the Carthusian Monastery of Louvain in Belgium. Llanwenllwyfo must be the only Protestant Church in the world to have a window depicting Pope Adrian VI being welcomed into heaven by the Holy Roman Emperor.
