Sheep grazing on Ballard Down
These sheep are grazing on top of the chalk ridge at the eastern end of the Purbeck Hills. This part is known as Studland Hill (the slope beyond is Ballard Down) - some of the houses on the main road through Studland village can be seen on the right. Poole Harbour and its islands can be seen in the distance. The weather looks showery inland, but here on the coast it is dry and sunny.
