The ledges projecting from the beach into the sea are the Kimmeridge Ledges. In the foreground is the clifftop at Cuddle, the next headland at the far end of the beach is Blackstone Point, with Clavell's Hard just around the headland. In the far distance is St Aldhelm's Head, the southernmost headland in the Isle of Purbeck.
