NY2807 : Pavey Ark across Stickle Tarn

taken 14 years ago, 4 km from Chapel Stile, Cumbria, Great Britain

Pavey Ark across Stickle Tarn
Pavey Ark across Stickle Tarn
The cliff of Pavey Ark is the eastern termination of the fell of Thunacar Knott, and looms over Stickle Tarn, which has been enlarged by a dam. The scrambling route of Jake's Rake can just be seen across the face of the cliff from bottom right to top left, but the top can more easily be reached on grass round the back.
