Chancel, St James the Great, West Hanney
The Chancel was completely rebuilt in the 15th century, but the stained glass 14th century east window was retained. The Altar is a slab of Purbeck marble, estimated to be two million years old. The wooden altar rails with finely turned balusters are 17th Jacobean.
