Wooden Revetments
Wooden Revetments
Here the cliff behind is very unstable so these wooden revetments were built to protect the cliff. Eventually vegetation will colonise the cliff and stabilise it. The small pebbles inside the revetment dissipate wave energy. Taken on a fieldtrip.
