Bridge under railway at Anchor Place, Rastrick
Bridge under railway at Anchor Place, Rastrick
This was initially for a tramway from the coal mines on the hillside in Bradley to Birds Royd Lane at Woodhouse Bridge. This is shown on the 1850 6" map but had gone by the map of c.1895 when it was an access track leading to Anchor Pit and Park Farm in Bradley. The railway was constructed in 1840.
