Eglwys St Cadwaladr Church
Eglwys St Cadwaladr Church
The church at Llangadwaladr, an ancient foundation, is dedicated to St Cadwaladr, aka Cadwaladr the Blessed, aka King Cadwaladr, the last monarch of the Isle of Britain, who died around 664 CE. The present church, dating from the medieval period, had close connections with the House of Gwynedd and later with the noble families of the Owens of Bodowen and the Meyricks (ap Meurig) of Bodorgan Hall.
