Spoil heap over railway tunnels, Marsden
Spoil heap over railway tunnels, Marsden
Three railway tunnels (two disused) and a canal tunnel run parallel under Standedge, and these spoil heaps are probably of excavated material hauled up a shaft. The stone building beyond the heap is a ventilator.
