Pony and foal, New Forest golf club, Lyndhurst
This pony and her foal are making their way from the riverine woodland alongside the Beaulieu River (off to the right) up to gorse on slightly higher ground. The alder trees in the riverine woodland are visible in the distance too. The golf course is on unenclosed open forest, and is grazed by commoners' stock. Presumably to the ponies the risk of being hit by flying golf balls is outweighed by the superior grazing.
