SZ5993 : Ryde Pier Head Station
Ryde, Isle of Wight, Great Britain

Ryde Pier Head Station
Passengers off the ferry from Portsmouth join the train to Shanklin. For the first half mile the train runs along Ryde's pier before reaching the first stop, Ryde Esplanade. The Isle of Wight once had an extensive railway network which was progressively closed down in the 1950s and 60s, leaving this as the only remaining service operating as part of the National Rail network.
