St Elgin's Church, North Frodingham
St Elgin's Church, North Frodingham
The church was recorded as dedicated to St. Helen in 1519 and 1545, but the name was apparently wrongly transcribed as St. Elgin in around 1700 and this name has since become accepted. A church and priest were recorded at North Frodingham in 1086 but little seems to have survived of the original Norman church which was largely rebuilt towards the end of the 19th century.
