Yealmpton: course of old railway
On a permitted path from Puslinch Bridge. The line was opened from Plymstock to Yealmpton in January 1898 and closed to passengers in July 1930: rather shortlived. It was re-opened in 1941 to assist Plymothians living outside the city to commute following early World War II air raids. Passenger traffic ceased in 1947, but goods traffic continued to run until the 1960s. The line was originally planned to run to Modbury but the extension from Yealmpton was never built
