Shipley Bridge, South Brent
Shipley Bridge, South Brent
Adjacent to Shipley Bridge (seen in the foreground) is a car park from which walkers can set off northwards up the Avon valley to the Avon dam and reservoir; and points beyond. In the background, behind the cars, can be seen some of the old buildings relating to 19th century tin mining and clay workings that were conducted further into the moor from which materials were brought down to this point, by tramway.
