SK8036 : A circular walk from Redmile, (17)
near to Redmile, Leicestershire, Great Britain

A circular walk from Redmile, (17)
A public footpath follows the line of the hill on the other side of the canal; you can just make out the yellow topped marker post just the far side of the trees. The towpath, although not a designated public right of way in this instance, is owned by British Waterways who allow walkers, cyclists and fishermen but not horse-riders.
To follow this walk of about 6 miles along the canal and public footpaths, park in the village of Redmile somewhere near the Peacock Inn and walk north west out of the village to the bridge where you can gain access to the tow path. Photographs taken along the length of the walk are collected here: Link
