Sandstone Cliff
This cliff is on the east bank of the Findhorn at St John's Pool. It is Upper Old Red Sandstone (Devonian) and shows cross-bedding and grading. It was probably deposited by intermittent or seasonal rivers in a desert environment some 400 million years ago.
