This farm track leads from the fields to the north of the canal to Muston Gorse Farm. The track going off to the left is the old route of the Belvoir Castle tramway which used to carry coal from the canal up to Belvoir Castle. See SK8135 : Course of Belvoir (Beaver) Castle tramway.The vagaries of Leicestershire pronunciation turn Muston into "Musson" and Belvoir into "Beaver"!

To follow this walk of about 6 miles along the canal and public footpaths, park in the village of Redmile somewhere near the Peacock Inn and walk north west out of the village to the bridge where you can gain access to the tow path.
