This little brick and slate hut is by the old tramway route which used to be used for the transportation of coal up to Belvoir Castle from the Grantham canal. Could it have been the "supervisor's" hut I wonder? See SK8135 : Course of Belvoir (Beaver) Castle tramway
To follow this walk of about 6 miles along the canal and public footpaths, park in the village of Redmile somewhere near the Peacock Inn and walk north west out of the village to the bridge where you can gain access to the tow path.
