Stone Mine at Durlston
Stone Mine at Durlston
The entrance to the mine has been cut in the seaward face of Round Down. This is the view towards Anvil Point Lighthouse. The mined stone was dragged out on the sledge shown on a ramp using the capstan winch just outside the semicircular wall.
