The tract of open grassland in the southwest of this grid-square is interspersed with gorse and is used as sheep grazing. Nant Henfoel, a tributary of Nant Creuddyn can be seen in the centre of the picture. The types of vegetation present here suggest that the ground is usually much wetter.
