Almondvale

Current home of Ferranti/MeadowbankThistle/Livingston. Moved here in 1995 after rather controversial divorce with their handful of supporters in their old home,Edinburgh. The ground is hidden amongst offices and a nightclub, and despite the wording on the badge, is on the Midlothian bank of the Almond. The ground is starting to look tatty, just like their old place.
Unfortunately stealing someone else's football club is a risky operation and the franchise went bust in 2009. At this time they are hanging on just, but with little hope. It was bad enough what they did to a solvent and successful Edinburgh side, the least they could do is look after it.

They are proud of their community involvement and as I passed on the way out the players were training on the all weather pitches next door, on my return the training pitches were full of primary school age children being coached. That did not happen in Edinburgh!
