SX4870 : Moss-covered Retaining Wall
near to Grenofen, Devon, Great Britain

Moss-covered Retaining Wall
This bridleway along the north bank of the River Walkham must have been an important route at one time as here it is terraced deep into the valleyside and a retaining wall built which is now almost completely covered in moss. My guess is that the old mine further west along the valley would have used this roadway.
