St Andrew's church > Link houses one of the major art objects of England - a late 14th century rood screen which is very little restored > Link - Link - Link. The paintings of saints, arranged in pairs on altogether 16 panels, are of very high quality. Other medieval survivals are the large octagonal font with lions at its base > Link and stained glass depicting angels > Link. The pulpit (seen here) is Jacobean. Some of the bench ends came from Kings College Chapel in Cambridge > Link. The church is kept locked but a key is available. For more information see: Link
