TG4129 : Sinking rocks
near to Bush Estate, Norfolk, Great Britain

Sinking rocks
In an attempt to further break the power of the waves, large rocks were heaped in front of the sea wall at strategic points. Instead of protecting the concrete structure from wave action, wave action is undermining the rocks, which have already sunk considerably. As a consequence, the steel sheet pilings - intended as reinforcement and additional protection of the sea wall base - have become exposed.
