WWII pillbox incorporated into sea wall
This type 22, brick-shuttered pillbox was originally located in the dunes that overlook the beach. Because of erosion it had partially slipped beachwards by the time its further progression was halted, in the early 1980s, by the building of the new sea wall, which now encapsulates the structure. Defence of Britain database ID: S0000859. The view is northwesterly. See also > Link
