The Dolphin Inn, Derby
The Dolphin Inn, Derby
The Dolphin Inn pictured in 2005, this is Derby's oldest pub which was built around 1530. An interesting part of the Dolphin Inn is the extension that was added in the 18th century this can be seen on the left hand side of the building on Full Street, and was originally a doctor's house. Highwayman Dick Turpin was said to have been a customer in 1738 and Bonnie Prince Charlie's troops probably drank here in 1745.
