This photograph of Lady Spencer’s Wood was taken from a footpath that runs through the wood from near Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire (left, westerly), to the end of Newbound Lane in Nottinghamshire (right, easterly).

The viewpoint is near the bottom of a short flight of steps (just off the left of the picture). Lady Spencer’s Walk continues ahead (northerly) through the woodland.
