Early Spider Orchid flowers
Ophrys sphegodes (see TR2838 : Early Spider Orchids at Samphire Hoe for picture of whole plant) - this photo clearly shows the mimicry of the flowers, although, despite the "spider" bodies, it is in fact a species of solitary bee that is duped into pollinating the plant.
