near to Ingerthorpe, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Hell Wath Lane, Markenfield Hall
Hell Wath Lane is the approach road to Markenfield Hall and is near the centre of Markingfield Hall parish, which covers a mere 600 acres or so, comprising the hall and its estate. The name of the lane is a bit of a mystery as 'wath' is a local name for a ford [none in the locality], whilst Hell Wath itself is a ford across the River Skell about 3 miles to the north.
