near to Kingstone, Herefordshire, Great Britain

View from the grotto
An underground room has been created in the garden of Kingstone Cottage (open under NGS), with this window opening out on a pond almost at water level.
The large leaf belongs to a Gunnera species which is at home on the margins of water and produces spectacular foliage, as well as bottlebrush-like flower spikes.
