Old Farm Boundary
Old Farm Boundary
This line of beech trees form the boundary of the old Mounces Farm. They date from the late 17th century and were planted on a turfed capped stone wall to provide some relief from the waterlogged ground. The trees would have been coppiced at regular intervals for fuel.
