Cleethorpes beach

Hard to believe this was Spring Bank Holiday. The dull skies and near gale force easterly winds kept the visitors inside their cars, and only a few hardy souls ventured on to the beach. On the horizon are the dim shapes of the Bull sand fort, near the centre of the picture, and to the right of that various ships at anchor, waiting for the tide before proceeding up the Humber estuary.
