Lozenge Pillbox , Embleton Bay
This is one of a number of pillboxes and other defensive features that defend the Northumberland coast and the immediate hinterland. The pillbox is an irregular hexagon, with longer front and rear walls. The photo was taken late on an April evening hence the low light.
