This is a lozenge pillbox overlooking Embleton Bay. Dunstanburgh can be seen on the headland to the south. The pillbox was constructed with corrugated iron shuttering and has stepped embrasures. The design is similar to another pillbox closer to the castle NU2522 : Lozenge Pillbox , Embleton Bay
