Plas Newydd, Llanedwen
Plas Newydd, Llanedwen
This National trust property is the home of the Marquess of Anglesey. It was designed by James Wyatt in the 18C, and is a mixture of Classical and Gothic styles. It is famous for its association with the painter Rex Whistler, and his largest work is here - a mural of an imaginary Mediterranean town in which he painted himself as a gardener.
