Approaching the bridge over the Yarmouth/Acle railway line, on a thundery day in late May.

After a sharp bend and a change of direction to northeasterly, Marsh Road > Link

becomes Branch Road, cutting through the Halvergate Marshes in a straight line and connecting with the Acle Straight/New Road (A47) further northwest. Subsidence can be observed; this is due to the marshy ground this road is built on.
