The Kugel, Carsington reservoir visitor centre
The plaque reads: "The Kugel. The Kugel is a 1 tonne sphere of granite that revolves on a thin film of water. The water is pumped into the granite socket at two different speeds, making the Kugel spin on its own. Please don’t drink the water. It is continuously recycled and treated, so it’s not nice for you - or your dog - to drink! Please don’t splash the water. You are welcome to help the Kugel rotate, but please don’t climb onto it! Thank you." See also SP2871 : Having a ball in Kenilworth
