TG1027 : Disused Primitive Methodist Chapel

taken 16 years ago, near to Wood Dalling, Norfolk, England

Disused Primitive Methodist Chapel
Disused Primitive Methodist Chapel
This small building, situated right beside Heydon Road but hardly noticed by passing traffic because it is almost hidden behind surrounding shrubbery, once used to be a Primitive Methodist chapel. Both an Independent as well as a Primitive Methodist chapel are mentioned in William White's "History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Norfolk 1845". The present owner of the former Primitive Methodist chapel - dilapidated but there are signs of recent attempts at some repair and restoration work > Link - has applied for planning permission for conversion into holiday accommodation. For a view of the other side see > Link.
