NT1750 : Esker, Halmyre

Esker, Halmyre
The area around West Linton is rich in glacial deposition scenery. Sandy mounds and hollows abound. This looks like the end of an esker; it's a long feature running to the south off picture. Formed from sands and gravels dropped by a stream running on or in a glacier.
