Shothouse Spring
Shothouse Spring
This spring has been a source of water in the locality since Roman times. Until the late 1990's it was the only source of water for about a dozen farms and houses on Bonsall Moor and they would fill up tankers every few days. As the water table lowered, due in part to climate change, it would take nearly half a day to fill and so they eventually had to have mains water laid on.
