The 'Grand Princess' at Belfast
The huge cruise ship 'Grand Princess' on a return trip to Belfast, the first of five scheduled visits by the vessel this year (see also J3576 : Grand Princess taken in 2007). Berthed at Stormont Wharf, this is the view from across the Thompson Graving Dock, standing as far back as I could to get all 290m of ship in the frame. Weighing some 109,000gt, the ship was constructed in Italy at a cost of $450 million. There is accommodation for 2,600 passengers and 1,100 crew. See Link
for further details. Notably, this is not the biggest cruise ship due in Belfast this year as the 113,651gt 'Crown Princess' is scheduled to call in September.
