Pontypool & New Inn station, Monmouthshire
This station, originally Pontypool Road, was renamed just Pontypool in 1972 but in 1994 became Pontypool & New Inn. Today trains serve just Hereford and the north and Newport and South Wales but at one time it was possible to travel east to Monmouth and west along the Cross Valleys line to Aberdare and Neath. This view is taken from The Highway overbridge south of the station.
