Upper Dove Valley
Upper Dove Valley
This photograph of farmland in the Upper Dove Valley was taken from a footpath runs from above Pilsbury past Pilsbury Castle and on toward Crowdicote and Longnor.

Near the middle of the picture is Broadmeadow Hall with its associated farm buildings on the right.

The thin line of trees meandering along the valley bottom shows the course of the River Dove which, at this point, forms the boundary between Derbyshire (foreground) and Staffordshire (the rising hillside ahead).

The hill in the distance on the left is Sheen Hill.

The line of trees leading up the hillside from the left-hand edge of the picture show the route of a SK1162 : Bridleway in the Upper Dove Valley.
