TQ3273 : St John the Evangelist, Guernsey GroveTQ3273 : New Testament Church of God, West DulwichSt John's was designed by the architect Leonard Martin and consecrated by the Bishop of Southwark in 1912, but was no longer used as an Anglican parish church by 1962 The Survey of London (1956) describes it as "a simple red brick building having a nave and chancel with three-light Perpendicular Gothic east and west windows. Its liturgical arrangement is reversed with the altar at the west end [geographically north-west] and the entrance porch on the Guernsey Grove frontage. The red tiled roof is punctuated by an octagonal shingled flèche near the east end. The floor of the nave is raised well above street level, and there is a church hall beneath."
