The map gives the name "Melin y Cwm" for this place (Melin means Mill in Welsh). The corner of the building in the foreground is the one nearest the river, but nowhere near enough to have had a water wheel. The far wall still has a fireplace and chimney breast. This feels far more like a cottage.
