SK0306 : Disused railway on Brownhills Common
Brownhills, Walsall, Great Britain

Disused railway on Brownhills Common
The line ran from Aldridge to serve the pits around Chasewater with a station at Brownhills, Watling Street. Passenger services ceased in 1930 although the colliery and parcels service continued until 1962 when the pits closed. The only visible trace is one of the abutments to the Chester Road bridge and overgrown embankments.
