Statue of King Alfred, Trinity Church Square
The statue in the centre of the garden outside the Henry Wood Hall TQ3279 : The Henry Wood Hall (former Holy Trinity Church) represents King Alfred (871-899). It was transferred there in 1822 from Westminster Hall, where it had occupied a recess for 450 years which makes it allegedly the oldest statue in London.
