SD6557 : Oak saplings at Brim Clough

5 km from Botton Head, Lancashire, Great Britain

Oak saplings at Brim Clough
Oak saplings at Brim Clough
Recently there has been a lot of conservation work here, with new fencing to keep out the sheep and the planting of Oak - you can see the protective sleeves poking up from the heather. This is all part of a five year pilot project called the Sustainable Catchment Management Programme (SCaMP). Three years ago it wasn't much different SD6557 : Brim Clough Whitendale but I look forward to seeing how the landscape begins to change in the next three years.
