A pub for over 200 years, the Butcher's Arms took its name from the small butcher's shop that used to be attached at the rear. The closure of this pub leaves the Ferry Boat as the only one in the village. There were once many more due to the presence of the ferry over the Trent, about a day's travelling from Lincoln. ( Link
